Robert Ellison b. in co. Antrim, Ireland, 1742 who organized a co. in rev. war of which he was capt. and afterwards major who m. 1772 Elizabeth Potts ): son of Nicholas Ware of Augusta, Ga., born in Caroline co., Va., Feb. 16, 1776 d. in New York in Sep. 1825, mayor of Augusta, legislator, congressman 1821-4 (m. June 12 , 1805 Susan Brook Carr b. in Columbia co. Ga. Mar 26, 1789 d. Nov 30, 1870 dau. of Col. Thos. Carr state senator 1803): son of Capt. Robert Ware who served under Gen. Washington in rev. war (m. Margaret Bassell), he was b. in Caroline co. Va. d. at his home 15 miles from Augusta Ga.”
