The first part of the meeting was devoted to business, consisting of the report of the Secretary and Treasurer. The Secretary’s report was made up of the statistics of the Union and an account of the work and plans of the several yearly meeting Unions. One of the important things in the report was that a Christian Endeavor Union has been formed in London and Dublin Yearly Meetings. Hitherto the young people have been organized under a Young People’s Fellowship Union.

A nominating committee made up of delegates officially appointed by the Yearly Meeting Unions selected the following officers for the coming year, which was ratified by the meeting:
