“STRAY SHOTS FROM

THE LABOR PRESS.

The Kansan and Post are in error when they declare the packers’ action in the matter of the Amalgamated Meat Cutters and Butcher Workmen of America to be a “bomb to labor.” In reality it is a “dud.” The meat cutters, officers and members alike, have known what was coming for many months, and have prepared against it. Does the Kansan think us fools, or does it take the position that we are blind? Why have the packers been so busy attempting to organize a union of their own if it has not been their intention all along to try to throw the meat cutters into the discard?—E. P. Ware, in Kansas City, Kans. Labor Bulletin.”
