George Buren Ware Obituary, 1996

"CLARENDON - George Buren Ware, 99, died Thursday,
Dec. 26, 1996.

   Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in
Robertson Funeral Directors Chapel of Memories 
with Bright Newhouse, pastor of the Hedley Church
of Christ at Hedley, officiating. Burial will be in 
Citizens Cemetery.

   Mr. Ware was born in Fort Worth. He had been a 
resident of Childress and Hall counties most of his 
life before moving to Donley County 15 years ago. He 
worked for the JA Ranch and the Mill Iron Ranch for
several years and was a self-employed rancher most 
of his life. He was the oldest living JA Ranch cowboy.
He also was an Army veteran of World War II.

   Survivors include a daughter, Norma Ashley of 
Clovis, N.M.; two sisters, Ruth Davey of Bonners Ferry, 
Idaho, and Lucille Hughes of Redding, Calif.; three 
grandsons; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-
great-grandchildren."
