                           MR. G. T. TURNER DIES IN HOSPITAL
Mr. George Thurston Turner, 73, of Old 41 Highway,
Barnesville, Ga., died Tuesday night, May 2, 1972, in St.
Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta, where he had been a patient
for 8 days.

A native of Butts County, Ga.  He was the son of the late
Mr. Andrew Jackson Turner, and the late Mrs. Sally
Thurston Turner and had lived in Barnesville over 40
years.

Mr. Turner was a Baptist and was the owner and operator
of the Pine Crest Bar-B-Que Restaurant for 30 years.  

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Belle Ware Turner,
1 son, Troy Turner, 1 Grandson Terry Turner, and 1 great
grandson, all of Barnesville.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon at 3
o'clock in the First Baptist Church with the Rev.
Brantley Harwell officiating. Burial was in Greenwood
Cemetery.

Haisten Funeral Home, Barnesville was in charge of plans.

The News-Gazette joins friends in expressing sympathy to
