"Irene G. Berkebile, 78, Maple Mountain Manor, Berlin, 
formerly of Stoystown RD 2, died April 21, 1986, in the
manor.  Born Sept. 19, 1907, in Somerset Township, daughter 
of late James and Cora (Sarver) Ware.  Preceded in death 
by parents; husband, Earl; and two sisters, Dorothy Good and 
Effie Krause. Survived by these children:  Merle E., and 
Ilene Foy, both of Laurel, Mo.; and Robert J., York; 12 
grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.  Sister of:  
Clyde, Stoystown; Harry, Friedens RD 2; Edison, Dover, Pa.: 
Donald, York: Mrs. John (Anna) Menser and Mrs. Elwood (Marian) 
Zimmerman both of Friedens RD 2; Myrtle Baird, Scottdale;
and Mrs. John (Nellie) Klotz, Somerset RD 5.  Member of Kantner 
United Methodist Church and Somerset Senior Citizens.  Retired 
custodial employee at Forbes Schools.  Friends will be received 
2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Wednesday (today) at Robert H. Halverson
Funeral Home, where service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. 
Thursday, the   Rev. J. Wesley Spahl.  Interment, Lambertsville 
Cemetery.  In lieu of   flowers, memorials may be made to American
Heart Association."
