Held Services for L.S. Davis, 65, at Todd’s Chapel 
Today

Lucian Sidney Davis died at 11:20 a.m. o’clock on
Saturday, February 14, at his home on rural route 5,
Richmond, after on illness of seven weeks, at the 
age of 65 years.

He was the son of B.F. and Susan (Brand) Davis, and
was born west of Richmond on March 5, 1876.  He lived 
in Ray County all of his life, except 16 years spent 
in Kansas City.

Mr. Davis married Laura Ann Ware, December 21, 1902, 
and to them was born Hazel (Davis) Riggs, route 5, 
Richmond.  Mrs. Davis died May 24, 1906.  Mr. Davis 
then married Rosa May Bellis on November 5, 1905,
who survives.  The parents of Mr. Davis are deceased.

Surviving Mr. Davis are:  Regin Davis of Kansas City, a 
brother; three sisters, Mrs. Inez Farrar and Mrs. Beulah 
Sayer, both of Holly, Colo., and Mrs. T.L. Sharp of
Worthing, Ky.  There is one grandchild.

The Rev. Leon Clevenger conducted the funeral at Todd’s
chapel today at 2 p.m. o’clock.  Burial was at Todd’s 
Chapel cemetery.  The Gibson Funeral Home of Orrick 
had charge of arrangements."
