"Mrs. Carolyn L. Pfeiffer, 90, of New Castle, died Nov. 10, 1978 
in New Castle.  She was born July 11, 1888, in Berlin, a daughter
of the late William H. and Sarah (Ware) Deeter.  She was preceded 
in death by husband, George.  She is survived by son, William W. 
of New Castle; and two daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Shoaff of Sharon 
and Sally, wife of William Roundtree of New Castle.  She is also 
survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  She 
was a sister of Ware of Meyersdale; Warden of Phoenix, Ariz.; Miss 
Ida of Johnstown; and Mrs. Gladys Shultz of Davidson, Mich.  Friends
were received at the  Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where services 
were held with the Rev. Lloyd Sechriest, officiating.  Interment, Union 
Cemetery."
