"Mrs. Effie S. Seese, 90, of Redstone Presbyterian Home, 
Johnstown, died Jan. 8, 1973, in Memorial Hospital, Johnstown.
Born April 16, 1882, in Meyersdale, she was a daughter of
William and Sarah (Ware) Deeter.  She was preceded in death 
by her parents and husband, Samuel S. Seese, Mineral Point coal
operator, who died in 1941.
 Surviving are a son, William N., of Pittsburgh; and grandson,
William, a student at Union Seminary.  She was a sister of Mrs.
Carolyn Pfeiffer, New Castle; Miss Ida Deeter, Johnstown; Mrs. 
Gladys Shultz, Flint Mich.; Ware Deeter, Meyersdale; and Warden 
of Tucson, Ariz.
 She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
 Funeral service will be held at two o'clock this (Thursday)
afternoon in Picking - Treece - Bennett Mortuary, Johnstown, with
Rev. Dr. Carl S. Fisher officiating.  Interment in Grandview Cemetery."
