Robert J. “Bob” Micallef of Cuba, Missouri was born to
the union of Alfred and Tillie (Feldmann) Micallef on
April 12, 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri and left from this
life on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at the Missouri
Veterans Home in St. James, Missouri at the age of 83.
Bob was united in marriage to Zula (Ware) Honea on November
23, 1963 in Bourbon, Missouri.
Bob retired from Fleming Manufacturing Company after many
years of dedicated service. He Honorably and Proudly served
his Country in the U.S. Army during WWII and later served
in U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. In his spare
time he enjoyed wood working, piddling and drinking coffee
with friends.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Tillie
(Feldmann) Micallef; wife, Zula (Ware) Micallef; step-son,
Jimmie Honea.
Those who are left to treasure his memory are his step-
children, David and wife Janice Honea and Debra and husband
Jim Gilliam all of Cuba, Missouri; step-daughter-in-law,
Joyce Honea of Desloge, Missouri; eight step-grandchildren,
12 step-great-grandchildren, one step-great-great-grandchild;
sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews
and many friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 18, 2011 from 5-8 p.m.
at Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mizell
Funeral Home with Father James Finder officiating.
Interment with full military honors followed at Bourbon
Cemetery in Bourbon, Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the Mizell Funeral Home
in Cuba, Missouri."
