To all Mayors, Sheriffs, and Constables, within this colony.
WILLIAM MITCHELL, under sheriff for this county, this day made oath before me that Robert Ware, late of the county of Middlesex, was a prisoner in his custody, charged in execution, at the suit of Philip Mallory for the sum of 27 L 5 ? 12d as appears to me from the execution issued by William Wager, clerk of the county of Elizabeth City and that the said Robert Ware did on the 22d of this ?? make his escape from the custody of the said William Mitchell. These are therefore, in his Majesty’s ? name, to command you and every ? of you, to make diligent search within your respective towns, counties and precincts, for the said prisoner, and if you shall find him then to convey him to the jail of the county wherein he shall be taken and the keeper of the said jail is hereby commanded to receive into his custody the said Robert Ware, and him safely keep, until he shall be thence discharged by due course of law.
