Woodrow Fann Sr. Obituary, 1996

“WOODROW FANN SR……Woodrow Fan Sr. of Bourbon, Missouri passed away Monday, April 8, 1996 at the age of 78 years. Woodrow was born December 19, 1917 to the late George and Dora (Helling) Fann near Bourbon, MO He was a life-long resident of Bourbon. On June 29, 1940, he was married to Viva Ware and to this marriage two sons were born. Along with farming, Mr. Fann worked at several jobs including the Convy Heel Company in Cuba, and for Crawford County Road District as a road grader. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bourbon for 47 years and was a sunday school teacher there. Currently Woodrow was a member of the meramec Valley Baptist Church in Sullivan. He enjoyed fishing, especially when it rained, however, most of his enjoyment came from his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Viva Fann, two sons, Woodrow Jr, and wife Debi, and Ronald and his wife Sharon, all of Bourbon, one sister-in-law, Ethel Fann, three grandchildren, Dale Fann, Michelle Helton, and Sheila Gawer, four great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and Ralph Fann and two sisters, Eva West and Verna Fann. Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 1996 from Meramec Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Richard Williams officiating. Interment was in Crow Cemetery. Arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home in Bourbon, MO.”
