“E. Lynn Ware at age 59, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011 at home in Yuma. He was born May 11, 1951 in Madison, Indiana.

Lynn graduated from Kofa High School in 1969, then joined the U.S Air force and served from 1969 to 1973. He worked at YUHSD for 22 years, previous to that worked at YRMC for 10 years. He was a life long member of First Christian Church and an Elder for many years and a former member of Yuma Community band.

Lynn loved history, especially the Civil War era. He enjoyed military air crafts, wood working and working on home improvement projects for family and friends. He traveled with the First Christian Church Missions Ministry many times to Chile helping build churches and schools.

Lynn is survived by his wife Margaret Ware of Yuma; son, E. Lincoln (Dena) Ware of Yuma; daughter, Virginia Louise (Cyril) Udall of Hong Kong; sisters, Donna Carter of Yuma, Earlene Carter of San Diego Ca. and Mary Louise Watterson of Indiana; three grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lynn is preceded in death by his father, Earl Leroy Ware; mother, Marguerite Virginia Ware and brother Charles Leroy “Sonny” Ware.

Visitation will be held at Johnson Mortuary on Thursday, March 31, 2011 between 5:30pm to 8:00 p.m. Lynn will be laid to rest at Desert lawn Memorial Park. A celebration memorial service will be held at First Christian Church on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 11:00a.m. with Alan Dyson Minister at First Christian Church officiating.

In lieu of flowers please send donations to First Christian Church Missions Ministry, Hospice of Yuma or the Mayo Clinic Cancer Research Centers.
