“RAYNE – Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Crowley, for Honorable George Bradford “Bumpy” Ware, Sr., 81, who died on Sunday, June 10, 2012, at Louisiana Extended Care Hospital, Lafayette,LA.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from 2:00 p.m.until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, June 13, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne,LA. Burial will take place at Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas,LA.

He was a generous and kind husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and is survived by his devoted wife of 38 years, Patricia Padgett Ware, two sons, George Bradford “Brad” Ware, Jr., and his wife Robin of Rayne, Edward Bradford “Eddie” Ware, and his wife Jan of Rayne, two daughters, Marla Green, and husband Tim of New Iberia, and Amy Gossen and husband Jason of Rayne. He is also survived by three sisters, Marie Louise Ware Anthony of Bogalusa, Moina Ware Lucent of Escondido, California and Josephine Ware Wallis of Dandridge,Tennessee. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tori Ware Dupuis, George Bradford Ware,III, Phillip Bradford Ware, Thomas Bradford Ware, Adam Bradford Ware, Eleanor Aline Ware, Nicholas Bradford Ware, Joseph Bradford Ware, Caroline Jane Ross, Aline Marie Gossen, Anna Claire Gossen, and Elise Anne Gossen and two great-grandchildren Grayci Elizabeth Dupuis and Analie Therese Dupuis.

Judge Ware was preceded in death by his brother James H. Ware, Jr. and his parents James Henry Ware and wife Amy Bradford Ware.”
