“A wave of sorrow was felt throughout our little city Monday morning when it became known that Mrs. Hal Ware, aged 32 had died at an early hour, following an extended illness. Stricken with an incurable malady, some five months ago, the deceased suffered intensely, but throughout her long illness she maintained a cheerfulness of heart that marveled her family and friend. She was a consecrated Christian and a member of the Methodist church. She loved her home and her family, and was faithful in her duties as a wife and mother. To understand why a young wife and mother is called to leave her husband and little children, had, and will always be, a mystery which the human mind cannot fathom, but we have the assurance that it is for a purpose, althought not yet reveled. Funeral services were conducted from the First Methodist church. A large and lovely floral offering attested of the love which was held for her. Interment was held in the Old Town Cemetery. Besides her husband Halbert, Mrs. Ware is survived by two children, her father and mother Mr. & Mrs. J. C. Baird One sister, two brothers and a large number of relatives.”
