Joyce Ethelyn Ware Obituary, 2004

Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Steed-Todd Chapel in Clovis.

“Mrs. Joyce Ethelyn Ware, 74, of Clovis, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.

She was born on Sept. 6, 1930, in Geneva, N.Y., to the Rev. J. F. and Grace Hamilton.

She graduated from Grady High School in 1948. She married Bob Ware on June 28, 1948, in Portales. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Clovis. She served in the ladies auxiliary at the local hospital. Family members said she was a loving wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Janice Hamilton, Patricia Watko, Shirley Cole and Beverly German.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Linda Kitner of Panama City, Fla., and ViAnn Smith of Lake Jackson, Texas; two sons, Gary Ware (and wife, Pam) of Clovis, and Terry Ware (Linda) of Gilbert, Ariz.; two brothers, Emerson MacDonald (Gladys) of Great Bend, Kan., and Freddie MacDonald (Esther) of Fresno, Calif.; nine grandchildren, Kelli Moore, Wendi Smith, Iva Rose Shields, Paul and Brianne Kitner, Tricia, Ryan, Matthew and Charissa Ware; and five great-grandchildren, Magen and Katie Smith, Andy Moore, Keegan Sutherland and Aidan Shields.
The Rev. Joel Horne will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.

Pallbearers are Ryan, Matthew and Tricia Ware, Ronnie and Tom MacKechnie, and Wendi Smith.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Clovis-Carver Public Library.

Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.”
