“Samuel M. Ware died January 23, 1926, in Kansas City, Missouri, in his 74th year. Mr. Ware was rooming at the St. James Hotel, and had gone to a restaurant for a meal when he dropped dead. He had made his home in Olathe for about twenty five years and had only recently gone to Kansas City to spend the winter. The body was brought to Paola and funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Lindemood funeral parlor, conducted by Rev. J. Jas DePree and interment was in the Paola cemetery. Mr. Ware never married. He is survived by one brother, P.L. Ware, living two miles south of Paola, and one sister, Miss Addie Ware, of Dighton, Kansas.”
