I, Susannah Barksdale, being sick & weak in body but of perfect mind & memory. I will & devise that my just debts be paid from the crop. I give unto my son & daughter, Thomas & Margaret Meriweather five Negroes viz: Bob, Esther, Sarah, Hannah & Clarey, also one half of all my land, also all my stock of every kind and household and kitchen furniture, not hereafter named and carpenter tools of every kind and one half of the debts due to me and one half of all other property. I give unto my son Joshua Key and daughter, Patsey Key, $777.00 with $650.00 to be paid by Thomas Meriweather in four equal payments, the first to be two years after my departure, which sum to include all money or other claims which said Joshua and Patsey shall or may have against me as administratrix or guardian or debtor or other wise any sum the said Joshua or Patsey may recover out of my estate to be first decucted out of my estate and the balance I give to my son and daughter Joshua and Patsey Key. I give to my daughter, Lucinda Barksdale, four Negroes viz: Bacus, Daniel, Betty, and Sook, two feather beds and furniture, five cows and calves, a horse, saddle and bridle worth $150.00, and one half of lands which I may possess at my death, also half of the debts due to me and haof of all property both real or personal, legacies, interest of claim that may descend to me, also seven Negroes towit: Grace, Aukey Terry, Edmond, Moreah, Udia, and Pat, also $777.00 with $650.00 to be paid by Thomas Meriweather in four equal payments the first to begin when she becomes of age or marries.
