“WARE The angels rejoiced to welcome Beatrice Roach Ware home on April 17, 2000. Born in Lynchburg, Va. on June 1, 1912, she was the widow of Fontaine Poindexter Ware. She loved unconditionally every member of her large family, her many friends and Democrats everywhere. She suffered the loss of her only son, Fontaine P. Ware Jr., but is survived by four daughters, Kaye W. Mathews, Frankie W. Farmer, Louise Fontaine Ware and Beverly W. Jordan. She is also survived by her grandchildren,StephanieA. Hyman, Elizabeth Fontaine Arthur, Margo M. Riedel, Cynthia W. Mathews, Lynn Farmer-Crawford, Eleanor V. “Ginger” Farmer, Fontaine Scott Jordan, Lance R. Jordan; her great-grandchildren, Rebecca Beatrice Hyman, William F. Hyman, J. Kenneth Lovelace, Stephen Fontaine Lovelace, Margaret Lynn Barnett and Willow Jordan Stone and her sisters, Pauline R. Haas and Mae R. Braden. Diuguid Funeral Service of Lynchburg is in charge of arrangements and the family will receive friends in the Waterlick Chapel on Thursday, April 20 from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. The funeral will be held in the chapel at Lynchburg College on Friday, April 21 beginning with music at 1 p.m. followed by a service at 1:30 p.m. and burial at the Poindexter Family Cemetery in Seneca, Va. The family would appreciate oral or written remembrances of Bea on Thursday evening or at the funeral service for inclusion in a memory book. Those who wish to make contributions in lieu of flowers may give to the Salvation Armyor the Lynchburg Democratic Committee, P. O. Box 1363, Lynchburg, Va. 24505.”
