“Bennie Deane Ware, age 76, of Willingboro, NJ, departed this life on Monday, September 4, 2006 at Cooper Medical Center, Camden, NJ. He was born on June 15, 1930 in Chattanooga, TN to the late John Ellen and Bennie Ware. After graduating from the public schools system of Chattanooga, he joined the U.S. Army where he pursued a 20-year career. During his time of service, Bennie completed two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was formerly employed as a detective by the Department of Defense at the Philadelphia Navy Yard for 18 years until his retirement in 1992. Bennie attended and graduated from Manna Bible College. Bennie served as a deacon for St. James Baptist Church, Beverly, NJ, for many years and often visited hospitals and nursing homes to encourage and pray for the sick.
He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Mary; two sons Labron and Gilbert Ware; a daughter Deborah Sutters; two stepsons Ellis and Shannon Peeples; two sisters Helen Beck and Leola Richardson; four grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 11, 2006, 11 AM at Alpha Baptist Church, 15 Rose Street, Willingboro, NJ, where relatives and friends may call from 9 AM until time of service. Interment Brig. Gen William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.”
