“Bonnie H. Martin Ware, 85, passed away in Fairfax, Va., on Aug. 23, 2008. She was born in Appalachia, Va., attended school in Corbin and graduated from Corbin High School in 1942. Bonnie was the daughter of Ella McKeehan Martin and Lonnie Martin of Corbin. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Hugh Asher Howard, son of professor and Mrs. H.A. Howard and Ben H. Ware of Sparta, Tenn.; and her brother, Curtis Martin of San Antonio, Texas. She is survived by daughters, Lauren Ware of Richmond, Va. and Linda Riesenman of Springfield, Va.; grandchildren, Lindsey and Christopher Riesenman; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.Bonnie was a first cousin of Ann Vermillion and Dorothy Pennington.A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 30 at 11 a.m. at Fairfax United Methodist Church in Va. Interment with her husband Ben will be at Arlington National Cemetery on Oct. 2, 2008.Memorial contributions may be made in Bonnie’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
