Harper Montgomery Ware Obituary, 2007

“Harper Montgomery Ware, 68, of 35 Pheasant Run, Waynesboro, Virginia, died Tuesday, January 23, 2007, at the Augusta Medical Center in Fishersville.

He was born August 6, 1938, in Raphine, Virginia, the son of Martha G. Ware. He retired from DuPont in Waynesboro after 33 years as an operator. He served in the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his mother; and one sister, Ms. Hazel Ware.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Mrs. Sally Ann Ware; one nephew, Larry Ware and his wife, Ray; a special cousin, Mrs. Cecie Ware Bell; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Verna Brown Woodson; three brothers-in-law, James Brown and his wife, Rhonda, Leroy Brown and his wife, Beverley, and Russell Brown; and many nephews; nieces; cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, January 29, 2007, at the Beulah Baptist Church in Lyndhurst, with the Reverend Michael Turner officiating. Burial will be at the Riverview Cemetary, Waynesboro, with military rites by Post 9339.

The body will lie in state from 12 p.m. Monday, January 29, 2007, at the church. The procession will leave from the home of James Brown, in Lyndhurst.

The Lewis Funeral home is in charge of the arrangements.”
