“Joe Allen Ware, 49, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, in Martinsburg.
He was born July 26, 1954, in Buckhannon, the son of the late Orval Ray Ware and Nellie Elizabeth Phillips Ware.
Surviving are one son, James Allen Ware and wife, Elizabeth, of Buckhannon; one daughter, Holidae Ware of Buckhannon; one grandson, Gabriel Ware of Buckhannon; and one stepgrandson, Wesley Rosencrance of Buckhannon.
He served in the U.S. Army and was a prisoner of war during the Vietnam War.
He was a truck driver.
Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home on Sunday from noon to 2 p.m., the funeral hour. Interment will follow in the Lorentz Church Cemetery. Buckhannon Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3663 and the Frank B. Bartlett Post 7 American Legion will conduct military honors at the graveside.”
