“Leslie Briton Ware, 70, a resident of Beverly, died early Friday, June 9, 1989, at the home of his sister, Euginia Brock, Mill Creek.
He was born August 10, 1918 in Glenville, a son of the late Rev. E B. and Violet Wade Ware.
Surviving are two sons, Lee J. Ware, El Cajon, Calif. and Ted J. Ware, Vienna, Va.; four brothers, Edgar B. Ware, Jr., Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Edwin Ware, Weirton, William Ware, Fairview and Wilbur Ware, Clarksburg; two sisters, Eugenia Brock, Mill Creek and Betty Simms, Mannington.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Ware retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service. He was later employed by the General Dynamics Corporation of San Diego, Calif. After returning to West Virginia he volunteered to the United States Forest Service in the Monongahela National Forest. He was a Methodist.
Friends will be received at the John W. Lohr Funeral Home from 7-9 PM Sunday. Final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel Monday at 11 AM with the Rev.Bud Elder officiating. Interment will follow in the Marple Cemetery near Valley Head, WV”
