“SHELBY – Mr. Maynard B. Ware, 74, died Sunday, July 25, 1999, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Thomas Bunyan and Maggie McDaniel Ware.
He was retired from Ware’s Auto Body Service. He was the co-owner.
He was a member of Zoar Baptist Church. He was a Navy veteran, once aboard the U.S. Navy-Destroyer Escort, one of the first ships to go to Japan following the war. He was a life member and a past commander of AmVets.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia P. Ware; and six brothers, J.D. Ware, Buford Ware, Woodrow Ware, Horace Ware, Marshall Ware and Charles Ware. He is survived by his wife, Alice T. Ware of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny and Freida Ware of Golden Valley, Garry and Donita Ware of Shelby and Hoyt and Gina Tessener of Raleigh; one daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Billy Blanton of Shelby; two brothers, George E. Ware and Gene Ware, both of Shelby; two sisters, Delta Humphries and Inez Eskew, both of Shelby; and ten grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at Cleveland Memorial Park”
