“Mrs. Gleness F. Ware, 54, died at her home in Unity Wednesday evening, June 11, 1947, after a brief illness. Mrs. Ware was born in Unity September 13, 1892, the daughter of Matt and Maud (Bither) Cates and had always lived in that town. Mrs. Ware attended schools in Unity and graduated from Freedom Academy and Gray’s Business College in Portland. She was married to Charles Ware April 25, 1916

She was a member of Favori Rebekah Lodge, the Farm Bureau and pianist of Harvest Moon Grange of Thorndike.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Ware; her mother, Mrs. Maud Cornforth; and several cousins.

Funeral services were held from the home Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock with the Rev. Walter Towle officiating. Interment was in the Pond Cemetery, Unity.”
