“GASTONIA — Paul Gene “Buzz” Dye, 69, of 2104 Fallsdale Drive, died Sept. 16, 2007, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.

He was a native of Murphy, NC, son of the late Fred and Wilda Ware.

FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Wednesday, A Simple Service Funeral Home Chapel

INTERMENT: Gaston Memorial Park

VISITATION: 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home

Mr. Dye retired from Coleman and Company with over 20 years of service. He was an avid mechanic that loved working with local race teams, but his true love was NASCAR.

SURVIVORS: Former wife, Mona Maney and husband Billy Maney of Clover, SC; daughters and son-in-law, Lisa Dye of Gastonia and Carla and Johnny Lowrimore of Dallas, NC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Irene Ware, Jerry and Fannie Ware and Ronnie and Sue Ware, all of Murphy, NC; sister, Joyce Ware of Murphy, NC; 2 grandchildren, Ashley Dye and Ciera Lowrimore
