“Ruby Irene Ware, 96, Aurora, went to be with our Lord on April 7, 2006. She was born May 8, 1909, in rural Aurora to Aud C. and Tela (Pannell) Calhoun. Irene lived in the Lawrence County community her entire life. She was a teacher for rural Elm Branch and Wooley Schools and attended Springfield Teachers College, which is now known as MSU. Irene was a member of the Faith Full Gospel Church. On June 28, 1933, she married Earl “Jack” Ware in Greenfield, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 1978. Her parents, one brother, Glen Calhoun, one sister, Nora Cummings, and two great- grandchildren, Christopher Michael and Jeffrey Chapman also preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Jack Ware and his wife, Verna; two daughters, Marjorie Ware and Mary Lawson, all of Aurora; one sister, Cora Jennings, Marionville; five grandchildren: Ramona Thach and husband, Mike, of Edmond, Oklahoma, Mitch Ware and wife, Judy, of Statesboro, Georgia, Jeffrey Chapman and wife, Lori, of Aurora, Lisa McElroy and husband Ray, Aurora, Michael Chapman and wife, Cathy, of Neosho; 13 great- grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2006, in the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, with burial in the Orange Cemetery. Visitation is from 6t o8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Faith Full Gospel Church in care of the funeral home.”
