“KINGS MOUNTAIN Mr. S. Howard Ware, 86, died Monday, Sept. 1, 2003, at Kings Mountain Hospital.

He was born in Cleveland County and was a son of the late Charles Page Ware and Lucretia Carroll Ware. He was husband of the late Martha Herndon Ware.

He was also preceded in death by a son, William Bill T. Ware and his wife, JoAnn; brothers, Dewitt Ware, Carl Ware and James Ware; and sisters, Nellie Thornburg, Mary Spearman and Lucille Randall. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Kings Mountain and retired from Southern Railroad. He was also a member of the Railroad Brotherhood.

He is survived by three sons, Michael H. Ware and wife, Barbara, of Pomaria, S.C., Tony D. Ware and wife, Kathy, of Highland, Mich., and Pete D. Ware and Judy of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; three daughters, Cornelia Kimmell and husband, Jim, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Kathryn Kincaid and husband, Ronnie, of Mount Gilead and Martha Lou Wells and husband, Toney, of Kings Mountain; a brother, Robert P. Ware of Kings Mountain; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Patterson Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Kings Mountain.”
