“William C. Ware Jr. World War II veteran, 81 William Cullen Ware Jr., 81, of Somerset died on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9, at New Creation of the Apostolic Faith Church, 56-58 Churchill Ave., Somerset. Calling hours will be Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the church and on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Entombment will be in Franklin Memorial Park Mausoleum, North Brunswick. Arrangements are by Anderson Funeral Service, New Brunswick. Born in Elizabeth, Mr. Ware formerly lived in Roselle, Orange, Plainfield and Eugene, Ore., before returning to New Jersey in 1997. He was an Army veteran of World War II. A member of the Trans-Communications Labor Union in Maryland, he retired in 1988 from the Hilton Hotel in Oregon. Mr. Ware was the beloved husband of Nellie Ware; devoted father of Francesca W. Thomas and Anthony William Ware; dear father-in-law of Grace Ware; doting grandfather of Michelle Thomas, Anthony G., Jonathan and Daniel Ware; dear sibling of Annetta Smith, and uncle of Richard and Raymond Gibbs. He is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.”
