“Achilles Ware, a retired farmer and father of William Ware of this city, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Emma Massing, two miles southwest of Marshfield, after an extended illness with complications, Monday morning.
Funeral services were held at the Massing home at 1 p.m. yesterday and at 2 o’clock at the Presbyterian church in Marshfield, Rev. O.C. Ellis of Danville, Illinois officiating. Interment was made in the West Lebanon cemetery.
Mr. Ware was born March 9, 1855 in Winchester, Kentucky, being 82 years, 2 months,, and 18 days of age at time death. He was a son of Robert and Emily Ware. He had resided in the county since 1892.
Surviving him are his widow and five children: Mrs. Emma Massing, Mrs. Clint Tyler, Mrs. Ira Layton and William Ware all of this county, and Asa of Covington. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Mamie Baker of Cincinnati, Ohio and one brother, John, of Lexington, Kentucky. Deceased was a member of the Free Methodist church at Marshfield.” –
