“Members of Modesto’s business community and friends of David Ware have established a trust fund for his wife and children.
Mr. Ware, an assistant machine operator with Weyerhaeuser Paper Co. in Modesto, died early Sunday in Stockton. He was 26.
He is survived by his wife, Crystal, and two young sons, 5-year-old David Jr. and 2-year-old Solomon, all of Modesto.
Contributions can be made to the David Ware Trust Fund, in care of Stockton Savings Bank, 2601 Oakdale Road, Modesto, or the main branch at 131 N. San Joaquin St., Stockton. The account number at both branches is 11645579.
David L. Ware was born April 1, 1968, in Stockton. He was raised in Stockton and graduated in 1986 from Franklin High School, where he lettered in football. Mr. Ware joined the military soon after high school and was a member of the Sacramento Army Reserves.
He and his family resided in Modesto the past three years.
In addition to his wife and sons, Mr. Ware is survived by his parents, Otho and Georgia Ware of Stockton; and siblings, Tommie Ware, Robert Ware, James Ware, Ersel Ware, Otho Ware III, Leonard Ware, Paul Ware, DeeBoyce Ware, Shirley Ware-Hill, Marilyn Ware-Martin and Angela J. Ware, all of Stockton, Charles Ware of Fayetteville, N.C., Dorothy Ware-Mitchell of Lathrop and Patricia Ware-Sonley of Hayward.
Thompson Memorial Chapel in Stockton is handling the arrangements. Visitation is today from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Thompson Memorial Chapel, 435 S. Wilson Way.
A funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Christ Temple Apostolic Faith Church, 1616 E. Main St., Stockton. Burial will be at Stockton Rural Cemetery.”
