” Esther Irene Ware, 78, formerly of Freedom Acres, died Tuesday in Sylvester Nursing Home, where she had resided the past six years.

A lifelong resident of Muncie, she graduated from Central High School in 1924. She had worked for 25 years at Lawler’s Drapery, retiring in 1972. Her husband, Fred, died in 1971.

Survivors include a daughter, Tommy Lou (Mrs. Robert) Pingry of Muncie; a sister, Fern Piner of Muncie; a granddaughter, Robin Lee Odle of Muncie; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel, with Rev. Ron Naylor officiating. Entombment will be in Elm Ridge Mausoleum. Calling at the mortuary will be 5-8 p.m. today.”
