Funeral services for Mrs. O. M. Ware were held at the First Baptist church, Davis, Okla., at 3 p.m. yesterday. The pastor, Rev. W. I. Lowe, was assisted in the service by a grandson of the deceased, Rev. H. B. Drennan of Houston, Texas. Interment was in Green Hill cemetery, this city.

Pall bearers were: Floyd Young, and the following grandsons of the deceased: Olander Ware, Cook Ware, Dick Ware, Vernon Fielding and J. E. Patterson. A great granddaughter, Ruby Jean Offield, was one of the flower girls.

Mrs. Eugene Elizabeth Ware was born near Palestine, Texas, July 22, 1855 (previously stated in error as 1853). She was married to O. M. Ware, to which union four children were born, all present at the funeral, namely:

Mrs. H. W. Fielding, Sulphur; Mrs. Jas. Patterson, Lindsay; Porter E. and Welcome C. Ware, both of Davis. She also is survived by a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The Wares moved to Davis in 1889, located on the Howell farm two miles north of Davis where they remained 35 years. Since the death of her husband, Jan. 3, 1930, she had made her home with her son, W. C. Ware.

Mrs. Ware had been a member of the Baptist church since 16 years of age, and lived a devoted Christian life. Possessing many virtues, she was the type of woman who made an ideal wife and mother, and was beloved by all who knew her.

While she had been in declining health the past year, she had been ill only a few days. Stricken Sunday morning, she entered a state of coma that night and never rallied, death claiming her Tuesday night, April 9, 1940.

Fielding, Sulphur; Olander Ware and family, Dick Ware and family, Vernon Fielding and family and Miss Hazel Fielding, all of Okla. City; Mr. and Mrs. Cook Ware, Wichita, Kan.; Mrs. Uriel Stafford, Wanette; Harold Offield and family, Tulsa; Jas. Patterson and family, Lindsay; Rev. and Mrs. Harry Drennan, Houston; Dr. Tom Ware, Seminole, and a friend, Richard O’Connor, Tulsa.
