“Mrs. Edna H. Ware, resident of Sacramento since 1907, died Wednesday night in her home, 2310 Portola Way, after a long illness. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. in the W. F. Gormley & Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Lawn Cemetery.

She was a native of Canada and formerly was associated with the Order of the Eastern Star and other clubs and organizations.

Mrs. Ware leaves a husband, Leon M. Ware; her daughter, Mrs. Kathryn L. Allison of Hollywood; her sisters, Mrs. Alice M. McCulloch of Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Grace A. Pickney (sic) of Blaine, Wash., and her brothers, L. C. Scaman of Seattle and J. A. Scaman of Wenatchee, Wash.

Edna was the daughter and first child of Charles Scaman and Olive Adelaide Harvey.

She married Leon Ware in about the year 1891”.
