Rosa D. Lawson was born in 1865 in West Liberty, Union Twp, Howard county, Indiana, to William Lawson and C. A. Smith.

She married (1) Henry J. Ware on 2 Dec 1882 in Howard county and had two children with him:

Fred, b. 9 Sep 1883
William Victor, b. 27 Apr 1889

Her husband Henry died in Dec 1890. She remarried the next year on 20 Oct 1891 to George Downing in Howard county. They had 3 children:

Pearl, b. Oct 1893
Mark E., b. 1901
Lavern M., b. 1903

Rosa passed away on 31 Aug 1926 in West Liberty.
