William P. Ware (1822 – 1874)

“William P. Ware was born and raised in Warren county, Ohio. He lived there with his parents and siblings until about 1830 when they moved to Stoney Creek Township, Henry county, Indiana. While here William met and courted Lucinda Main (dau of Christopher Main & Mahala (Weaver) Main. They were married in Henry county on 16 Feb 1843.

About 1847, William, Lucinda and their two young children moved with the other members of the John & Margaret Ware clan to West Liberty, Union township, Howard, Indiana where they made their home. Here they added 6 more children to their family.

William died 28 Oct 1874 and was buried in the Union Civil-Forks of the Creek cemetery in West Liberty.

Both William P. Ware and his brother Jesse Ware married women by the name of Lucinda Main. These two women were first cousins and descend from Christopher Main and Amelia Weaver through different brothers.”
