“Annie Ware, long time resident of Wellington, late of Borger, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002 in the Hansford Manor Nursing Home, Spearman, at the age of 97. Born Sept. 21, 1904, she was a native of Fannin County and a Borger resident for six years and a former Wellington resident for 65 years. She was a Baptist.

Survivors include two sons, Wayne Ware of Spearman and Larry Ware of Granite, OK; a daughter, Laverne Hiett of Borger; two brother, James Ashcraft and Woodroe Ashcraft, both of Clarendon; 10 grandchildren, 12 greatgrandchildren and three greatgreat-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Emett Ware in 1984.’
