Claude Emory Ware Obituary, 1974

“Claude Emory Ware, 79, Rte. 9, Huffaker Road, died at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday in a Rome hospital following an illness of several years.

He was born Sept. 24, 1894, in Floyd County, son of the late Robert Fletcher Ware and Florine Aycock Ware, but had resided in Chinook, Mont. most of his life. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Two sisters, Mrs. George Piper in 1942 and Mrs. Fred Camp in 1959, died earlier. While living in Rome he made his home with a cousin, Mrs. Joe Aycock.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. John H. Hardin, Chester, S. C.; three nieces, Mrs. Sam Doss and Mrs. Hunter Grant, both of Rome, and Mrs. B. C. McClerkey, Vidalia.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Boswell officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Valley North Cemetery.

The body will remain at the funeral home and the family will receive friends there from 7 to 8 p.m. today.

Pallbearers include Albert Aycock, Rip Aycock, David Ayer and David Fowler.”
