“E J Ware, 44, Dies Suddenly
Eddie Jackson Ware, 44, Houston painter, died Saturday afternoon, Jan. 25, at the Houston Hospital following a heart attack. He suffered the attack at his home, was rushed to the Hospital, and died shortly thereafter.
Services were conducted from the Bethel Baptist Church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock by the Rev. J Glenn, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Cleveland, Miss., assisted by the Rev. Frank Jolly.
Interment was in the Bethel Cemetery with the new Houston National Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were: Oris Lancaster, Durell Harrington, Wallace Tunell, Thomas Odie Martin, Joe East, and Shorty Brooks. Honorary pallbearers were: Dan Harrington, Bob Harrington, Dewitt Dendy, Ray Wamble, Bill Fairley, Henry Smith and Deffie Neal.
Mr. Ware leaves his wife, Mrs. Edna Mae Tunnell Ware; two sons, Kenneth Marvin with the U S Air Force on Guma, and Eddie Wayne Ware of Houston; a daughter, Mrs. Delia Yvonne Harless of Houston; two brothers, G W Ware of West Point, Miss., and Argene Ware of Woodland; five sisters, Mrs. Lizzy Dendy and Mrs. Nannie Mae Morris, both of Woodland, Mrs. Cassie Criddle and Mrs. Juanita Caldwell, both of West Point, Miss., and Mrs. Mary George Marshall of Nettleton, Ark. Two grandchildren also survive.”
