“(LaGRANGE, Ga.) Ethel Haynes Ware, 97, of LaGrange, Ga., died Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, at Hospice LaGrange.
Mrs. Ware, a native of Troup County, Ga., was born April 28, 1912, and was the daughter of the late Zelma Haynes and Willie Allen Haynes. She was married to the late Zelma Ware. She worked for many years for Parmer Brothers and joined the Shady Grove Baptist Church (now Pleasant Grove). She later attended Mount Beulah Baptist Church.
Survivors include three children, George Frank Ware of Roanoke and William Ware and Dorothy A. Ware of LaGrange; 11 grandchildren; adopted son, Kenneth Jones of LaGrange; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; four nieces; several great nieces and nephews; and special friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings and a daughter, Thelma Ware Hill.
The funeral service were Saturday, Aug. 8, at 3 p.m. at Saint James C.M.E. Church on Revis Street. The Rev. William Phillips officiated. Burial was in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
