“Joe Day Ware, 48, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, May 29, 2001.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. Celebrants will be the Rev. Dr. George H. Martin, interim rector of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, and the Rev. Tami Logsdon, deacon of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.

Mr. Ware was born in Amarillo and had been a lifetime resident. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1971, attended Amarillo College and graduated from West Texas State University.

He was involved in the family oil and gas business. He married Susan Vick on Aug. 8, 1995, at Orlando, Fla. He was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Ware of the home; parents, Jean and Charles Ware of Amarillo; a sister, Margaret Ware Smith of Amarillo; a niece and two nephews.

The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson, Amarillo, TX 79101; or to St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 1601 S. Georgia, Amarillo, TX 79102.”
