jphil090855Sue Ware, 92, passed away at her home Saturday, March 5, 2011. Funeral: 11 a.m. Thursday in the Chapel of the Good Shepherd at University Christian Church. Interment: 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the Bartlett Cemetery in Bartlett. Memorials: The Logan and Sue Ware Scholarship Fund at TCU.
Juanita Sue Bass Ware was born Sept. 18, 1918, daughter of the late Oscar and Eula Mae Davis Bass. Sue graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas and was a proud Horned Frog, graduating from TCU in 1941 with her degree in English. She married Logan Ware in 1941 and they had resided in Fort Worth since 1954 when he was offered a job at TCU. Logan preceded her in death in 1996. She was also a member of University Christian Church and the TCU Women’s Exes.
Survivors: Children, Linda Williams and husband Maury, Cynthia Pierce and husband, Doug, and Mike Ware and wife, Anne; grandchildren, Amy Pierce Monti and husband, Tony, Elizabeth Pierce, David Williams and wife, Shannon, Jonathan Williams and wife, Kim, Alicia Ware Bicknell and husband, Jesse, Logan Ware and Ellis Ware; and five great-grandchildren, with a sixth due this month.
