BukkLila Drinkard Ware died at Beverly Manor Nursing Center in Augusta, Georgia after an extended illness. She was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County, widow of Fred Gordon Ware, daughter of the late Wesley Andrew and Leila Wright Drinkard. She was a member of Goshen Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters: Mrs. James B. Teasley, Augusta; Mrs. W.E Walker, Macon; Mrs. Fortson Scott, Lincolnton; Mrs. Marvin Ivey, North Augusta,SC, Three sons, George W. Ware, Toccoa; Albert Ware, Lincolnton; Gordon Ware, High Point, NC; four sisters, Mrs. Watson Cullars, Mrs. Paul Cullars, and Mrs. Hamlyn Stephenson, all of Lincolnton; Mrs. Ernest Edenfield of Augusta; two brothers; Wesley F. Drinkard of Washington, George Drinkard of Lincolnton, seventeen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Goshen Baptist Church with the Revs. Ted Adkins, R.C. Daniel and Lee Buice offciating. Burial was in the Lincolnton City Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Kelly Ware, Norris Ware, Bobby Teasley, Marion Durst, Gerald Baygents, Allen King, Allan Corley and Fred Prater.
