Mary Bourland Ware, 64, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Memorial service: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Agape Baptist Church, 3972 S.W. Blvd., Fort Worth. Interment: Mary will be laid to rest at a later date in the Farmersville IOOF Cemetery in Farmersville. Memorials: Donations are requested to be made to the Humane Society of North Texas. Mary was born Nov. 18, 1947, in Fort Worth to the late Vergal and Margaret Bourland. She graduated from Paschal High School and attended Baylor University and Texas Christian University. Mary worked at TCU, World Service Life, General Dynamics and Bourland, Wall & Wenzel law firm until she retired to care for her mother. She was a founder and member of Agape Baptist Church in Fort Worth. Mary enjoyed painting and being with her grandchildren. Survivors: Son, Michael Hester and wife, Amy, of Midlothian; daughter, Cheri Carpenter and husband, Scott; brother, Michael Bourland and wife, Linda; brother, Richard Bourland and wife, Katy; sister, Marti Mason and husband, Jerry, of Farmersville; grandchildren, Blake Carpenter and Savannah Hester; and numerous nieces and nephews.
