“‘Mrs. North C. Ware, 92, 235 5th. SE, died in a local hospital, Tuesday, October 25, 1977. Services were held at the Leverett and Steele Funeral Home Chapel, Tuesday, October 27, with the Rev. Glenn Vickers officiating. Internment was made at the Oakwood Cemetery in Honey Grove. Mrs. Ware was born December 12, 1884, in Petty, a daughter of W. N. Plemons and Mattie Plemons. She married John W. Ware, in Petty, his death occurring in 1940. She was a member of Petty Methodist Church. Survivors are one son, Joe Ware of Paris; three daughters, Mr. Lloyd Nicholson of Ft. Worth, Mrs. Marvin Fox of San Angelo and Mrs. Earl Burke of Kerrville; seven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Mark Tomblin, Steve Nicholson, Ronny Nicholson, Ricky Nicholson, Wayne Tomblin and Bill Fox.”
