“QUITMAN – Services for the Rev. Marvin Homer Ware, 86, Quitman, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel of the Chimes, Quitman, with the Rev. Michael Tom officiating.

Graveside rites are scheduled for 2 p.m. at Restland Memorial Park, Dallas.

Rev. Ware died March 6, 2007, in Dallas.

He was born Sept. 22, 1920, in Dallas. He served in the Navy during World War II and was a minister and member of Cottonwood Assembly of God. He lived in Florida prior to moving to Quitman in 2003. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Ware, in 1997.

Survivors include his wife, Ila Ware, Quitman; son, Steven Raynes, Killeen; daughters, Ann “Sissie” Odom, Canton, Jayne Womack, Dallas, Suzanne Moore, Banning, Calif., Sherrie Groom, Lindale, Sandy Walton, Seagoville, and Annette Moody, Quitman; brother, Bob Ware, Glendale, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; great-grandchildren and other relatives.

Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
