Richard L. Ware Jr. Obituary, 2010

“Richard L. “Bulldog” Ware, Jr., 88, a resident of Harperville passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at Lackey Memorial Hospital in Forest. Visitation was Sunday, March 21, 2010, from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, and services were at 3 p.m. in the chapel, with burial following in the Homewood Methodist Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. Larry Patrick. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Ware had lived in Harperville for the past 60 years and was a member of Harperville United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, and he was a member of the MS Charolais Association and the American International Charolais Association, and had been a very successful Charolais breeder and farmer until his death.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cornelia Boyles Ware, in 2007; and his sister, Christine Moore.

He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews and his caretakers, Winnie Bobbit and Curtis Tucker.

Pallbearers were Wayne Patten, Andrew Addkison, Bill Lovett, Brad Eichelberger, William Faulkner, Drew Crowell.”
