Ruth Clark Ware Obituary, 2004

“McLEAN – Ruth Clark Ware, 95, died Tuesday, June 15, 2004, in Shamrock.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in McLean Church of Christ with Pat Andrews of Abilene and Bright Newhouse of Clarendon officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler.

Mrs. Ware was born Feb. 18, 1909, in Fannin County. She was the daughter of James O. and Tina Goin Clark. She married Elmer R. Ware in 1927 in Lefors. Mrs. Ware had lived in the McLean area since 1914. She graduated from McLean High School in 1926. She had taught school for a number of years in Mobeetie, Miami and Farrington. She and her husband had also farmed and ranched. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2001.

Survivors include three daughters, Peggy Carter of Mobeetie, Kitty Nincehelser of Fort Smith, Ark., and Ginger Holwick of McLean; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.

The body will be available for viewing from 11 a.m. until service time at the church.”
