Judi, if your ancestors came here in the 1700’s chances are they were buried in the lost cemetery located across the street from the “olde” presb cemetery. No longer accessible as it is abandoned/lost and there is no trace of it today. Rumor has it that the house across the street from the “olde” cemetery is haunted though! Not sure if you believe in that, but I heard that the last people who lived there moved out because of it.. interesting local folklore!
25 Main Street, Waretown NJ 08758. Entrance looks like a private drive (dirt road) but it is not. It is the Cemetery. road Green sign by the road “The Olde Cemetery” Hezekiah is there but no Rachael. There is a Collins family plot there also.
My name is Judi Watson Wolff and my family came to NJ in the early 1700’s that I can find right now. I’m looking at going to the Waretown Old Presb Cemetery this coming spring. I’m looking for my direct great grandparent Rachel Soper who married Eli Collins then she died prior to her father Hezekiah Soper who was married to Temperance Sprague. Do you have any information on Rachel when she died and proof of same. Also can I have the address to the Cemetery so I can go visit
